I recently went yard sale hopping.  I was on a mission to find some clothing for my children as they seem to be growing out of their clothes so fast.  So, I figured I would try to find some decent used clothes for them.  At one of the yard sales I saw some Kids Ski Jackets in almost new condition.  They just happened to fit my children, so I bought them.  They were only $20 a piece, I couldn’t believe it.  These will definitely come in handy for our upcoming vacation in a few weeks.  I am so happy I decided to check out that particular yard sale, it means we will have lots more spending money.

My little sister was playing with my Snowboard Goggles one day and lost them. I was down to only that one pair when they disappeared. She swears she put them back up after she played with them and now I was going to be in big trouble because they were gone. Mom and dad had spent a lot of money on these goggles and now I had no idea where they were. I finally had to come clean with them and explain what had happened, I explained I will never leave stuff down low enough so my sister could get a hold of them. Two days later I found them chewed up in the back yard, our dog decided he liked them better then my little sister.

My son started skiing at age 10 and his sister followed in his footsteps a couple of years later. Now, they’re both into snowboarding and I’ve started a snowboarding blog that follows their adventures. They’re both hoping to make the X Games Olympics one day in the future and I just love bragging on my kids. I give their reviews of products, I write about how scary it can be from a mother’s point of view and I talk about how others can get started in the sport.  I have fun and I love watching the hits counter and reading the comments that people leave.

There aren’t a whole lot of places where you can find a rugby game going on.  So when my brother phoned home to let us know that he would be joining a professional rugby team we all went bananas. We were so proud of him and decided that getting custom rugby socks were the best move that he did.  He started to become known for his outlandish socks.  Team mates would try and tell him they were awesome just to make him feel better. But in the end it actually did catch on and we all were very impressed with just how it went down.

My Grandson is named Alexander and he has been the greatest gift that I could have ever hoped for.  I had been starting to think that I would never be a Grandma when my daughter Amber announced that she was adopting a beautiful baby boy from Russia, I was utterly thrilled out of my mind.  My Grandson is so much fun to be with, and we spend as much time together as we can.  When I told him where I was taking him on his spring break this year, he told me that it was the perfect opportunity to learn Snowboarding.  I told him that he might even get this old granny out there with him!

I have been getting ready for my vacation in Colorado for a long time, and I am so excited that I can hardly wait.  Only one more week and I will be out on the slopes getting my fill of snowboarding and skiing.  My best friend Jayce is going to be coming along, and since we have not seen each other in so long, it makes it extra special.  I got my great new westbeach maverick jacket in blue and red and I think it looks totally amazing.  Now if I only knew a good way to make the next week flash by.

I had a nice surprise today whilst at the mall doing some shopping. I had the pleasure of bumping into an old high school buddy of mine. He was looking extremely fit and strong and being a bit out of shape myself I was intrigued to find out how he had stayed in such peak physical condition after we finished school. He said he had been training at mma sutherland shire for the last four years. He said to me that it was a important part of his life and he especially loved the kickboxing and wrestling classes that the club offered.
